LDT 2004/2005/2006 and Civil Essentials
Civil Essentials in LDT 2004 requires a service pack be downloaded for Autodesk Land Desktop 2004
Menus
Civil-Tools.mns
If you ran Civil Essentials in LDT 2004 or 2005,
and than wish to run Civil Essentials in LDT2 -3 the
compiled menus, civil-tools.mnc and civil-tools.mnr,
will have to be deleted from the civil essentials install folder
before you run LDT 2-3
Civil-Tools.cui
For LDT 2006,Select the workspace you wish to use civil essentials, Civil Design is recommended.
At the command line type menuload, browse
and select \program files\civil essentials 3\civil-tools.cui. Select the Load button.
At the command line type cui
Civil3D-Tools.cui
For Civil 3d 2006,Select the workspace you wish to use civil essentials, Civil Design is recommended.
At the command line type menuload, browse
and select \program files\civil essentials 3\civil3d-tools.cui. Select the Load button.

Toggle between LDT 2004/2005/2006 and LDT 2-3
Run_LDT3.bat Run_LDT2004.bat
In the LDT 2004/2005/2006 install folder there are 2 bat files. These bat files
set the registry for the version of LDT you are using. If you wish
to design in LDT 2-3 right click on run_LDT3.bat and select
run. You will only need to do this if you were previously using LDT
2004/2005/2006. Similarly if you wish to design in LDT 2004/2005/2006 select and run
run_LDT2004.bat.
